Biblical Theology

noun

Tracing how a theme unfolds across the Bible's storyline — following revelation as it develops from Genesis to Revelation.

Not To Be Confused With

Biblical theology follows the STORY and its development; systematic theology arranges the conclusions by TOPIC. Both are “biblical” in the sense of grounded in Scripture.

Biblical theology asks how a theme — covenant, temple, kingdom, sacrifice — grows across redemptive history and finds its center in Christ. It reads the Bible as one unfolding story rather than a flat reference book.
